Unless what you are doing is specifically authorized by the Restrictions and Covenants, you and your contractor need to first obtain the prior written approval of the Architectual Review Committee for Rivendell.

What do I do if I observe a Covenant Violation? Every homeowner has a right to enforce covenant violations and so does the HOA. The HOA is also available to assist you. Please email or call the HOA. Normally, the procedure would be for an HOA representative to review the covenants and confirm that there is an actual violation. Then the HOA will normally send a letter advising the homeowner of the violation and requesting that it be remedied. If it is not remedied, the HOA or any individual homeowner may seek court relief or other action authorized by law.

What do I do if I observe a violation of an OKC Ordinance? The HOA has no authority to enforce OKC Ordinance Violations. However, you may report it to OKC Code Enforcement (See the "Links" section of this website) and a City inspector can assist you with enforcment of an Ordinance violation.
